Islam was not originally a sect of Judaism. It was conceived for the Arabic and Semitic peoples. It only ended up that way because it was adapted for it’s hearers, who had become adherents of Judaism and Christianity. Apparently Mohammed also wanted to win over Jews, but it seems more likely that he wanted to emancipate the people who had been enslaved by them. History furnishes us with numerous examples of the Jews aggressively trying to proselytize non-Jews. Nonetheless, the Arabs were able to reclaim the religion for themselves to some extent and make it correspond to their way of life and thinking. There is also undoubtedly a higher degree of common sense (the actual words of Mohammed) left intact in this religion than in Christianity. So it should not be considered a purely Jewish sect like Christianity.
The front-line does not run between the Islamic world and the West. The cherished dream of Israel, of the Jewish organizations, and of their media, is to convince public opinion in the West that the Islam is an enemy and a threat for the West, and that all the Jews want is but preventive protection from an Islamic strike force in order to defend the West. Islamism is a world religion that is accessible to all. Judaism on the contrary is reserved for the racist ethnic group of the Jews, the “chosen people”.

The Riddle of the Universe
We see that today, even externally, in its forms of prayer and preaching, and in the architecture and adornment of its mosques. When I visited the East for the first time, in 1873, and admired the noble mosques of Cairo, Smyrna, Brussa, and Constantinople, I was inspired with a feeling of real devotion by the simple and tasteful decoration of the interior, and the lofty and beautiful architectural work of the exterior.
How noble and inspiring do these mosques appear in comparison with the majority of Catholic churches, which are covered internally with gaudy pictures and gilt, and are outwardly disfigured by an immoderate crowd of human and animal figures! Not less elevated are the silent prayers and the simple devotional acts of the Koran when compared with the loud, unintelligible verbosity of the Catholic Mass and the blatant music of their theatrical processions.
During the past eleven days here in the Muslim world, I have eaten from the same plate, drunk from the same glass, and slept in the same bed (or on the same rug) — while praying to the same God — with fellow Muslims, whose eyes were the bluest of blue, whose hair was the blondest of blond, and whose skin was the whitest of white. And in the words and in the actions and in the deeds of the “white” Muslims, I felt the same sincerity that I felt among the black African Muslims of Nigeria, Sudan, and Ghana.

Inside the Third Reich
You see, it’s been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why didn’t we have the religion of the Japanese, who regard sacrifice for the fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion too would have been much more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness?

For thirty years the Germans tore each other to pieces simply in order to know whether or not they should take Communion in both kinds. There’s nothing lower than religious notions like that. From that point of view, one can envy the Japanese. They have a religion which is very simple and brings them into contact with nature. They’ve succeeded even in taking Christianity and turning it into a religion that’s less shocking to the intellect.
Hitler had been much impressed by a scrap of history he had learned from a delegation of distinguished Arabs. When the Mohammedans attempted to penetrate beyond France into Central Europe during the eighth century, his visitors had told him, they had been driven back at the Battle of Tours. Had the Arabs won this battle, the world would be Mohammedan today. For theirs was a religion that believed in spreading the faith by the sword and subjugating all nations to that faith. The Germanic peoples would have become heirs to that religion. Such a creed was perfectly suited to the Germanic temperament. Hitler said that the conquering Arabs, because of their racial inferiority, would in the long run have been unable to contend with the harsher climate and conditions of the country. They could not have kept down the more vigorous natives, so that ultimately not Arabs but Islamized Germans could have stood at the head of this Mohammedan Empire.

It is interesting to observe what importance the clever exploitation of religion can assume. The Tartars at first had a none-too-gratifying attitude toward the German Wehrmacht. But they changed about completely when permitted to sing their religious chants from the tops of minarets. Their change of attitude went so far that Tartar auxiliary companies which fought actively against the Bolsheviks could be formed. Our efforts there were supported by our propaganda companies who distributed a picture showing the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem visiting the Fuehrer. That was extremely successful.

The instructions of a hygienic nature that most religions gave, contributed to the foundation of organised communities. The precepts ordering people to wash, to avoid certain drinks, to fast at appointed dates, to take exercise, to rise with the sun, to climb to the top of the minaret—all these were obligations invented by intelligent people. The exhortation to fight courageously is also self-explanatory.

Our nation was degraded then in the same manner in which the Islamic peoples are today. The Versailles Dictate was thrust down our throat. My generation was took comfort in Abd el-Krim’s victories in the Rif war against the French and the Spaniards at the beginning of the twenties [Abd el-Krim, 1880-l963, the leader of the Rif Kabyls, fought against French and Spanish occupation and was exiled and imprisoned by the French between 1926 and 1947].
I remember how my mother used to rave about the courage of Abd el-Krim. He was very popular in the twenties in the rest that remained of Germany, that was humiliated by the French. Later, I was privileged to meet personally that great Arab hero, and I was honored with his friendship.
The German people sees from his life story and from his tragedy that he has something in common with the fate of the Palestinians and the muslims. As a result of World War I and World War II, millions of Germans were chased away from their homeland and their country. The rest of Germany was torn apart.
To this day, large German regions are occupied, especially by the Poles, who got them from the Soviet occupation armies. In West Poland there certainly is a German Palestine. It will be the task of future generations to recover those areas, the same as it will be the task of the Intifada generations to free Palestine.
Because Hitler recognized the interests and problems that he had in common with the Arab peoples, during World War II he proposed to the Mufti of Jerusalem, Mohammed Aman Husseini, to relocate to Berlin. The mufti was received in Germany like a head of state.

Do you consider it possible that Hitlerism might become for Germany a permanent religion for the future like Mohammedanism for the Moslems?
I think it highly possible. Hitler’s “religion” is the nearest to Mohammedanism, realistic, earthy, promising the maximum of rewards in this life, but with a Moslem-like Valhalla into which worthy Germans may enter and continue to enjoy themselves. Like Mohammedanism, it teaches the virtue of the sword. Hitler’s first idea is to make his people powerful because the spirit of the Aryan German deserves to be supported by might, by muscle and steel. Of course, it is not a spiritual religion in the sense in which we ordinarily use the term. But remember that in the early days of Christianity it was the church which made the claim to total power, both spiritual and temporal! Today the church no longer makes this claim, but the claim has been taken over by the totalitarian states which demand not only temporal but spiritual power.

As a sane German, one is flabbergasted to think that German human beings could have let themselves be brought to such a pass by Jewish filth and priestly twaddle, that they were little different from the howling dervish of the Turks and the negroes, at whom we laugh so scornfully. It angers one to think that, while in other parts of the globe religious teaching like that of Confucius, Buddha and Mohammed offers an undeniably broad basis for the religious-minded, Germans should have been duped by a theological exposition devoid of all honest depth.

After this war, I’ll take the necessary steps to make the recruiting of priests extraordinarily difficult. In particular, I’ll no longer allow children, from the age of ten and upwards, to devote their lives to the Church, when they’ve absolutely no notion what they’re undertaking—in accepting celibacy, for example. Only the man who has passed his twenty-fourth year, and has finished his Labour Service and his military service, will be able to embrace an ecclesiastical career. At that age, then, if anyone is ready to vow himself to celibacy— well, let him become a priest, with God’s help! In parenthesis, that reminds me that some idiots made me the fatuous proposal that chiefs of the Party should be celibate!
While I’m on the subject, it’s interesting to know how they’ve hitherto succeeded in filling the convents and monasteries. With the women, it’s generally reasons of a sentimental nature that constitute the chief motive. With the men, on the other hand, it’s usually not either the feelings or the reason that play a decisive part, but more earthy motives, such as material distress, for example. In the course of the law-suits brought against the monasteries, it was discovered that, in numerous cases, poverty had driven the unemployed to turn into monks. The men who tried to recover their liberty were caught by the priests and fetched back. Thus one must rejoice that the closing of the monasteries enables us to restore to the life of society many men who are capable of rendering services to the community and wishful to work.

For over a thousand years the church has built walls where none should exist, for example those between Germans of varying confessions. And it has torn down walls that nature established by blessing marriages between Aryans and Jews, negroes and Mongols. It took millions of valuable people from their God ordained roles in the community and put them in monasteries or the priesthood. Its doctrines are responsible for the fall of races people and cultures.
Himmler often discussed the problems of marriage, marriage laws, and the place of women in society. I made copious notes on one of these private lectures of his, which I have dated May 3, 1943.
“Marriage as it is today,” he said, “is the Satanic work of the Roman Catholic Church. Regarded dispassionately and without prejudice, our present marriage laws are absolutely immoral. They presume that a man can find sexual satisfaction in congress with one woman. By that very absurd legal fact, men are driven into promiscuity. Promiscuity being labeled by the law ‘unfaithfulness,’ a state of tension arises between husband and wife. The State is defeated in its purpose – for this tension leads to mutual dislike, and the birth rate suffers. The marriage laws of today, presumably designed to ‘protect’ the family, in fact leads to a decrease in the size of families!
“After the war Hitler intends to change all existed marriage laws. Monogamy will cease to be enforced upon promiscuous mankind. The SS and the heroes of this war will have special privileges. They will immediately have the right to take a second wife, who shall be considered to be as legitimate as the first.”
I protested that there were certain economic difficulties; that few men earned enough money to support such a household. To this objection Himmler replied:
“The permission to have two wives will be a mark of distinction and will carry with it remunerations in salary, bonuses, etc. The man who is permitted to be bigamous will occupy so important a position in the State that he will earn more than enough to support his families. The advantages the State will draw from such an arrangement are many. There will be an immediate upward trend in the birth rate, and the quality of the offspring of such marriages will be superior, remember. The racially pure blood of German heroes will be transmitted to as many offspring as possible. Before permission for bigamy is granted, the man in question will, of course, be medically examined in order to ensure that no disease is propagated. Permission will be granted, it goes without saying, only to men of pure Germanic race, proved in their loyalty and courage. The Iron Cross, First Class, is the minimum distinction for bravery that will be required. In this way, with fathers of such a class, a new race will be procured.”

2. EXISTING MARRIAGE LAWS IMMORAL?
“My personal opinion,” Himmler added, “is that it would be a
natural development for us to break with monogamy. Marriage in its
existing form is the Catholic Church’s satanic achievement; marriage
laws are in themselves immoral. The case-histories of monogamy so
often show up the woman as thinking: ‘Why should I take as much
trouble with my appearance as before I was married? I’ve still got my
status, which my husband can’t alter, whether I indulge his whims and
care for him or not, whether I dress to please him or not, whether I
remain the woman of his dreams or not.* But with bigamy each wife
would act as a stimulus to the other so that both would try to be their
husband’s dream-woman no more untidy hair, no more sloveliness.
Their models, which will intensify these reflections, will be the ideals
of beauty projected by art and the cinema.
“The fact that a man has to spend his entire existence with one
wife drives him first of all to deceive her and then makes him a hypo-
crite as he tries to cover it up. The result is indifference between the
partners. They avoid each other’s embraces and the final consequence
is that they don’t produce children. This is the reason why millions of
children are never born, children whom the state urgently requires. On
the other hand the husband never dares to have children by the woman
with whom he is carrying on an affair, much though he would like to,
simply because middle-class morality forbids it. Again it’s the state
which loses, for it gets no children from the second woman either.”
3. ILLEGITIMATE CHILDREN
Himmler declared that there were many sides to this problem and
went on: “This double standard expresses itself characteristically in
the status which middle-class convention accords to the children born
of such affairs, whom it calls illegitimate. It stipulates that they are no
relation of their own father and his family. That in fact is the law that
a bastard and his father do not count as relations. Nature is robbed of
her rights simply in order to keep up appearances in middle-class
society. The father has no chance to do the most natural thing in the
world: treat the child as his own and occupy himself with its upbring-
ing. It’s not his child in law, but the child of a woman who has no
connection with him except for the fact that he gives her money. He’s
not allowed to marry the child’s mother either, seeing that he’s already
married. The law calls it ‘concubinage’ if he lives with her and the
police have to intervene in the disturbances caused by open scandal.

Everything to the contrary notwithstanding, Mohammed is not responsible for the contradictions and inconsistencies in the Koran, for the volume was not compiled and did not assume its present form until over twenty years after his death. In its present state the Koran is, for the major part, a jumble of hearsay through which occasionally shines forth an example of true inspiration. From what is known of the man Mohammed, it is reasonable to suppose that these nobler and finer portions represent the actual doctrines of the Prophet; the remainder are obvious interpolations, some arising from misunderstanding and others direct forgeries calculated to satisfy the temporal ambitions of conquering Islam.
On this subject, Godfrey Higgins speaks with his usual perspicacity:
“Here we have the Koran of Mohammed and the first four sincere and zealous patriarchs, and the Koran of the conquering and magnificent Saracens–puffed up with pride and vanity. The Koran of the eclectic philosopher was not likely to suit the conquerors of Asia. A new one must be grafted on the old, to find a justification for their enormities.”
1One of these was Muhammad, who took on himself the task of trying to set mankind free from the monstrous Satanism of “sin as a crime against an infinite being” and the totally distorted idea of the trinity of life. This was successful, but instead Muhammad’s doctrine of the deity as inconceivable to human reason was distorted into fatalism.

By the Church the Unknown is described and explained with precision, and if she advances with the times, the ground must inevitably be cut from under her feet. For this reason she is opposed to all progress. It adds little to our knowledge of the Creator when some parson presents to us an indifferent copy of a man as his conception of the Deity. In this respect, at least, the Mohammedan is more enlightened, when he says: to form a conception of Allah is not vouchsafed to man.
The most pressing danger, as I see it, is that Christianity, by adhering to a conception of the Beyond which is constantly exposed to the attacks of unceasing progress, and by binding it so closely to many of the trivialities of life which may at any moment collapse, is ripening mankind for conversion to materialistic Bolshevism. And that is a terrible tragedy. Man will lose all sense of proportion, and once he considers himself to be the lord of the universe, it will be the end of everything. And if the Church in Spain continues in the way it is doing, it will end on the refuse-heap.
While the two Christian denominations maintained missions in Asia and Africa, for the purpose of securing new adherents to the Faith, these same denominations were losing millions and millions of their adherents at home in Europe. These former adherents either gave up religion wholly as a directive force in their lives or they adopted their own interpretation of it. The consequences of this were specially felt in the moral life of the country. In parenthesis it may be remarked that the progress made by the missions in spreading the Christian Faith abroad was only quite modest in comparison with the spread of Mohammedanism.

One day I explained to Eltz that what is conventionally called creation is probably an immovable thing, that only man’s conception of it is subject to variations. Why doesn’t God give everybody the possibility of understanding truth? Every man of average culture knows that at this precise moment the Catholic religion is of interest to just one tenth of the population of the globe. He’s astonished, too, that Providence, which has willed all that, can allow so many religions, all true from the point of view of those who practise them, to compete for the faith of the faithful. He knows, too, thanks to the view in depth that history enables him to take, that the Christian religion interests only those living in a tiny period of the life of mankind.

He found in the dogma of the Trinity what every emancipated thinker finds on impartial reflection—an absurd legend which is neither reconcilable with the first principles of reason nor of any value whatever for our religious advancement. He justly regarded the worship of the immaculate mother of God as a piece of pure idolatry, like the veneration of pictures and images. The longer he reflected on it, and the more he strove after a purified idea of deity, the clearer did the certitude of his great maxim appear: “God is the only God”—there are no other gods beside him.
Yet Mohammed could not free himself from the anthropomorphism of the God-idea. His one only God was an idealized, almighty man, like the stern, vindictive God of Moses, and the gentle, loving God of Christ. Still, we must admit that the Mohammedan religion has preserved the character of pure monotheism throughout the course of its historical development and its inevitable division much more faithfully than the Mosaic and Christian religions.

For years Muhammad sought in Mecca to succeed with his preaching that there was only one God, the sole, all-merciful king of Judgment Day. He opposed to the Christian Trinity the unity of God, rejected the Christian doctrine of original sin and salvation, and instead gave every believer as a guiding principle the complete fulfillment of the commands of the righteous, given by a compassionate and just God, before whom every individual person had to account for his acts. As a result of the close connection between the ruling class in Mecca and previous religious practices, he was able to find believers in his message only in a small contingent of his own family. Then he came into contact with men from Yathrib [Medina], Arabs who had moreover heard of the Jews’ promise of the Messiah. He brought these men together and converted them to Islam. Through very clever maneuvering, he was able to reconcile the two opposing Arab tribes, the Aws and the Khazraj, so that he had already created a political base for himself when on September 20, 622, he left Mecca for Medina, where he took up residence. Here he encountered the Jewish problem for the first time.
He believed in the victorious power of good in the world, he was firmly convinced that the religion of the one and only God, with its easy, practical, reasonable, basic laws for human life, was nothing other than the original religion. He wanted to take humankind out of the current turmoil and lead it toward the original, clear vision of God. But since he had to deal with people who had been influenced by both Christianity and Judaism, he said that it was the religion in which Abraham (Ibrahim) had already believed, and which Christ and Moses had proclaimed, only each time it had been distorted by human beings. He said that this had been revealed anew to him by God. He wanted to make the path easy to follow for both Christians and Jews; thus at first he allowed his followers to pray facing toward Jerusalem.
40“New wine must be put into new wine-skins” is a truth that esotericians apparently easily forget, finding it difficult to abandon old symbolism and to describe reality using the terminology of our times. Such mixture of two quite different ways of looking at things seems to be a characteristic trait of missionaries. These failed attempts at keeping the old sentimental or dogmatic formulations and combining them with the new exact, mental ones produce irremediable confusion of ideas, particularly in literalists of all sorts. Using that method Paul managed to destroy Christos’ teaching. He started from the Atlantean falsification of the idea of god into a hateful, wrathful, jealous, vindictive god who must be atoned through bloody sacrifices and turned Christos into the divine sacrifice. To anyone possessed of a wee bit of common sense it all seems so absurd, so inhuman that he is astonished at the complete misunderstanding of this symbolism. Anyone who has fully understood what bottomless suffering this method of Paul has brought idiotized mankind should take warning from it.
2Muhammad wrote nothing himself. The Koran is a distorted teaching, adapted to the perceptive resources of the Arab tribes. The Koran is as big a falsification as the Old Testament of the Jews and the New Testament of the Christians. The contradictions found in the Koran led to Islam splitting up into several sects. Just as Christianity has its mystics, so has Islam as well, the so-called Sufis.

If the rest of the world had adopted a similar policy, we would not have a Jewish Question (Judenfrage)…. As a religion, Islam indeed performed an eternal service to the world: it prevented the threatened conquest of Arabia by the Jews and vanquished the horrible teaching of Jehovah by a pure religion, which at that time opened the way to a higher culture for numerous peoples …. 5Having acquired the power it desired the Church increasingly felt it necessary to care for the education of spiritual leaders. Universities were founded at which students were taught mainly theology and dog Latin, which became a compulsory “universal language”. The more its power was established, the less cause the Church had to fear criticism. Contacts with the Arabs, who had preserved the knowledge of Greek philosophy, especially that of Platon and Aristoteles as presented by the “neo-Platonists”, provided the Church with some rational ideas. It was not until long afterwards, during the Renaissance, that excavations were to reveal remnants of the literary treasures of Greece and Rome.

Then, with the advent of Christianity, came the barbarians. The chivalry of the Castilians has been inherited from the Arabs. Had Charles Martel not been victorious at Poitiers—already, you see, the world had fallen into the hands of the Jews, so gutless a thing was Christianity!—then we should in all probability have been converted to Mohammedanism, that cult which glorifies heroism and which opens the seventh Heaven to the bold warrior alone. For nearly eight centuries under her Mohammedan rulers Spain set to all Europe a shining example of a civilized and enlightened state. * * * Art, literature and science prospered as they then prospered nowhere else in Europe. Students flocked from France and Germany and England to drink from the fountains of learning which flowed only in the cities of the Moors. The surgeons and doctors of Andalusia were in the van of science; women were encouraged to devote themselves to serious study, and a lady doctor was not unknown among the people of Cordova. Mathematics, astronomy and botany, history, philosophy and jurisprudence, were to he mastered in Spain and in Spain alone.
The Library of Original Sources thus sums up the effects of Islam:
The results of Mohammedism have been greatly underestimated. In the century after Mohammed’s death it wrested Asia Minor, Africa, and Spain from Christianity, more than half of the civilized world, and established a civilization, the highest in the world during the Dark Ages. It brought the Arabian race to their highest development, raised the position of women in the East, though it retained polygamy, was intensively monotheistic, and until the Turks gained control for the most part encouraged progress.
In the same work, among the great Islamic scientists and philosophers who have made substantial contributions to human knowledge are listed Gerber, or Djafer, who in the ninth century laid the foundations for modern chemistry; Ben Musa, who in the tenth century introduced the theory of algebra; Alhaze, who in the eleventh century made a profound study of optics and discovered the magnifying power of convex lenses; and in the eleventh century also, both Avicenna, or Ibn Sina, whose medical encyclopedia was the standard of his age, and the great Qabbalist Avicebron, or Ibn Gebirol.
“Looking back upon the science of the Mohammedans,” resumes the authority just quoted, “it will be seen that they laid the first foundations of chemistry, and made important advances in mathematics and optics. Their discoveries never had the influence they should have had upon the course of European civilization, but this was because Europe itself was not enlightened enough to grasp and make use of them. Gerber’s observation that oxidized iron weighs heavier than before oxidation had to be made over again. So had some of their work in optics, and many of their geographical discoveries. They had rounded Africa long before Vasco da Gama. The composition of gunpowder came into Northern Europe from them. We must never forget that the dark ages in Christian Europe were the bright ones of the Mohammedan world. In the field of philosophy the Arabs started by adopting the neo-Platonism they found in Europe, and gradually working back to Aristotle.”

He [the Imam al-Mahdi] will be wearing the armour of wisdom, which he will have secured with all its conditions, such as full attention towards it, its (complete) knowledge and exclusive devotion to it. For him it is like a thing which he had lost and which he was then seeking, or a need which he was trying to fulfil. If Islam is in trouble he will feel forlorn like a traveller and like a (tired) camel beating the end of its tail and with its neck flattened on the ground. He is the last of Allah’s proofs and one of the vicegerents of His prophets.
